Guinea Pigs on an Airplane?

I am leaving for about a month and I just moved to a new state so I have no one i can trust my guinea pig with. I can't seem to find a straight answer for this question anywhere so why not ask Yahoo!. Is it okay to bring a Guinea Pig on a 3-3 1/2 hour flight? I will be staying at a stable place for a month or longer, so once he's off the airplane not much else will change. Will the pressure on his ears cause him to die? Will bringing him on as a carry on help him relieve some of the stress, because i can have that arranged? A swift answer will be great. Thanks to all who offer any type of advice. (:
