I want a guinea pig but Mum's allergic - can I still have one if I keep it in my room and do my own washing?

Mum told me I couldn't have a guinea pig because she puffs up like a goldfish but I really want one. I can't have a cat because Dad hates them and kills them and dogs are far too expensive so my only option is a guinea pig. But Mum said that if I cuddle it and she does my washing all the guinea allergenic will be on my clothes and that will be just as bad. Should I still get one and do my own washing?
